A Tribal website built around how the offices actually work
A concept redesign of the Tribe's website, easy for staff to keep current, organized around what members actually come looking for.
Most Tribal websites are hard to keep current, and it is almost never the staff’s fault. The site gets built around a department chart instead of around what members are actually trying to do, so nobody quite owns any given page and the notices go stale.
The approach
We started from the questions people arrive with (when is the next council meeting, is there a job open, how do I get an enrollment form) and let those shape the structure instead of the org chart.
Everything that changes weekly or monthly is a collection a staff member can post to in a couple of minutes: news, council notices, jobs, events, documents. What stays put is built once and left alone.
Where it stands
In progress as a concept redesign. Get in touch if you’d like to see the current state of it.
